AUG 30 - SEPT 1 Sat night & Sun-Mon Labor Day Weekend, Geneva IL
Fox Valley Folk Festival starts Sunday (daylight hours) and continues
Monday on Island Park in the Fox River in Geneva Illinois. I will be there
both days. It is a lovely festival I have played many times. I will have a
concert set and several "workshop" sets with other entertainers.
It is a charming way to enjoy music. There is no admission charge, as it
is a public park. But you will be asked to make a donation, which goes to pay
the entertainers and cover cost.
Saturday night before the festival I will be part of a pre-festival radio show
broadcast on WFMT hosted by Rich Warren. You can buy tickets to attend or listen
on radio or internet streaming. details: http://foxvalleyfolk.com/#WFMTZ

OCT 10, Friday, East Lansing, MI
Concert at Ten Pound Fiddle Coffeehouse, at the UU Church in East Lansing.
8pm show. A few years ago I did a Fiddle show on 11/11/11. This year make
it 10/10. I can't roll back the year to 2010, however. I have
a bagful of new songs to share along with a few other surprises, along with my
usual blend of original and traditional songs. I consider this my
homecoming show, however there is no home football game this weekend at MSU.
NOVEMBER 8, Saturday, East Troy, WI

other featured instructor will be my friend Mark Dvorak.

MARCH 6, Friday, Livonia MI
A special night at Trinity House Theater, 8pm. A double-bill show with Red
Tail Ring, an exciting new-time old-time duo I have done shows with before.
Plenty of great songs, both trad and original. Lots of guitar picking, banjo
picking and fiddling. Trinity house is a small gem of a theater in an historic
building tucked in the shadow of a modern cloverleaf exchange in Livonia, just
outside of Detroit proper. Literally a step back to the 19th century. And
I mean literally. $20, $17 for subscribers. http://www.trinityhousetheatre.org/
